What an online certificate is, and what it isn't

What you get

  • A Certificate of Completion for non-accredited manual handling awareness training, issued the same day.

  • Not a nationally recognised qualification or Statement of Attainment.
  • Not HLTWHS005 or any other unit of competency, and not issued by an RTO.
  • Not a licence, and not proof of accredited training if a site requires that.

Will it be accepted?

Ask before you buy

Whether an employer accepts an online awareness certificate is their call. Many do, as a refresher, an induction supplement or evidence a new starter has covered the basics. Some sites, contracts and industries require an accredited unit and will not accept anything else. A thirty-second question to your supervisor or recruiter ("do you need accredited manual handling training, or is awareness training with a certificate of completion fine?") saves you $39 and a wasted evening. Yes. The course takes about an hour, the assessment about ten minutes, and the certificate is issued instantly once payment is confirmed. Most people who start in the evening have the PDF the same evening.

No. It is a Certificate of Completion for non-accredited awareness training. Warehouse Handling Academy is not a Registered Training Organisation, and this is not HLTWHS005. If a job or site requires a nationally recognised unit, you need an RTO.

No. The training and the assessment are free and stay free. The certificate is optional and only offered after you pass, for people who want a record for an employer or their own file.

Every certificate has a unique ID in the format WHA-YYYY-XXXXXX. Anyone can enter that ID on the verification page on this site to confirm the certificate is genuine and see the name, course and completion date it was issued for.

No. It shows your completion date and has no expiry. Employers set their own refresher periods, commonly one to three years; the training and assessment are free, so refreshing costs nothing unless you want a newly dated certificate.

Payment is handled by Stripe and we never see your card details. Duplicate charges and delivery problems are covered by our refund policy; contact support with your certificate ID and we'll sort it out.
